Why are you named Doll House Baked Goods?
Our last name is Doll, and we started our business in our house. It's as simple as that, and we thought it sounded fun.
Who drew your logo and character?
The character in our logo was a custom cartoon drawn by Christopher Doll. It was used in the Doll House Baked Goods logo, which was designed by the talented designer and good friend of ours, Janell Edwards.
We love our character and have featured her in a number of gift cards and mugs.
Do you make everything on site?
All of our baked goods are made in our shop, at the Country Village Shops in Bothell, Washington. When we started out in our certified home kitchen we baked everything there. Since then we've moved our operations to our shop.
What is the shelf life of your baked goods?
Since we do not use any additives or preservatives in our baked goods, we make sure everything is packaged as quickly as we can after they leave our ovens. Obviously you'll want to get them as soon as you can, fresh from the oven, but most cookies, pies, and breads are perfectly good for up to five and sometimes seven days.
Breads have the shortest shelf life, and we often mark them down after 24 hours on the shelf. Even these are still very good and can be warmed in a conventional oven, wrapped in foil, for up to five minutes.
Microwave ovens are a bit damaging to bread, so we recommend using a conventional oven to re-warm our breads. It's entirely up to you, of course, but we've found that microwave ovens can make bread tough or chewy when used to rewarm them.
If you don't think you'll open a package for a few days, we recommend storing them in a freezer. There they can sit up to three weeks. A quick thaw and warm up in an oven or toaster and they'll be good to go!
Discard any items with visible mold if they've been out for a week or so.
Do you do special orders? Cakes, Cupcakes, and cupcakes?
Absolutely. We love making custom cakes, cookies, and cupcake designs. Generally we like to have at least seven days' notice. See our Special Order Pricing page for details.
Where are you located and what are your hours?

Do you ship your baked goods?
We do! Check out our Online Store and have Doll House Baked Goods delivered right to your door!
How long does it take to ship your baked goods?
For orders within the United States, it generally takes two to three days after placing your order in our store. We ship via USPS priority mail, which has so far proven to be a decent shipping option for our baked goods.
We only ship fresh baked items, never frozen, and they are packaged to ensure that they are in great shape when they arrive. Unopened, most of our baked goods have a shelf life of five to seven days (often longer).
Do you offer Gluten Free or Vegan baked goods?
We carry a few gluten free baked goods, and are adding more as time goes on. Our coconut macaroons, flourless chocolate cake, and more recently chocolate chip and molasses cookies are available as gluten-free options. The only vegan baked goods we offer right now are our white bread and dinner rolls.
Our gluten free foods are prepared in a kitchen where foods containing wheat, milk, soy, tree nuts are also prepared. Doll House Baked Goods is sensitive to the dietary needs and concerns of our customers and want them to be aware that during kitchen operations, glutinous items are prepared during the day. In preparing our gluten free products we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination.
